We're seeking a Temporary Financial Consolidation Specialist to play a critical role in shaping the future of our financial reporting capabilities on a 9 month fixed term contract. Working at the heart of our corporate finance team, you'll lead the configuration and implementation of a robust consolidation system that underpins our ambitious growth strategy. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and collaborating closely with FP&A and the Group Accountant, your expertise will ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful consolidated financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for a tech-savvy finance professional with hands-on ERP experience and a proven track record in multi-national, multi-currency environments.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with key stakeholders to develop an automated robust financial consolidation tool, ensuring that risks are adequately mitigated with appropriate controls;
  • Reviewing current consolidation methods for non-financial data and determine how/if this can be automated;
  • Providing expertise in financial best practices and recommend financial consolidation process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of data;
  • Working alongside Group Accountant to run current Excel based system in parallel;
  • Conducting system testing, user training, and support during the deployment phase;
  • Troubleshooting and resolve issues related to the consolidation process;
  • Supporting in the development of internal control documentation and process flows to support the consolidation project;
  • Ensuring training is provided to employees on consolidation procedures; and
  • Supporting on other, ad hoc projects as required

About you and your skillset:

  • 5+ years' experience working with ERP systems.
  • 5+ years' experience of group financial consolidations, intercompany transactions and overseas trading entities reporting in foreign currency
  • Experience working within a manufacturing organisation would be desirable
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self motivated with an ability to communicate clearly
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and automation tools.
