Don & Low are currently seeking an experienced and results-orientated Financial Controller to manage all accounting functions of the company and lead the existing finance team based in Forfar. The ideal candidate will hold significant experience within finance roles, contributing to the successful implementation of company strategies and streamlining financial processes.
Overview:
As the Financial Controller, you will act as the main point of contact for the group finance department. You will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day accounting operations including monthly management accounts process, reconciliations, monitoring budget variances, financial forecasting, annual financial reporting budgeting and ensuring an effective credit control process is maintained.
You will lead and supervise an established finance team and line management duties for IS team, ensuring financial targets set for the company are met and improving performance of the IS function. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will be involved in maintaining effective working relationships with external stakeholders including the company’s bank and various service providers.
What we are looking for:
· Educated to degree level
· Professionally recognised accountancy qualification
· 10+ years’ experience in finance
· Experience managing a team
· Proven experience in implementing strategies and leading projects
