Role – Financial Controller / Finance Manager (Contract)

Location – UK (Fully Remote)

Mint Selection are working with a renewable energy focused organisation supporting the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK. They are seeking an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager on a 6-month contract to support financial operations and project development.

This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance activities across multiple accounts and projects, supporting budget control, forecasting and reporting, and ensuring robust financial processes are in place within a fast-paced delivery environment.

Scope of Work

Manage day-to-day financial operations across multiple project and business accounts, including accounts administration and payroll oversight.
Own project and business-level budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management across several workstreams.
Support monthly management accounts, cost reporting and variance analysis for multiple entities or cost centres.
Work closely with project teams to track spend, commitments and forecasts across renewable energy projects.

Ensure accurate invoicing, cost allocation and supplier payment processes across different accounts.

Support audit requirements and maintain compliance with internal financial procedures.

Provide commercial and financial insight to support decision-making.

Proactively identify and improve finance processes where required.

Experience to be Considered

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager, ideally within renewable energy, construction or infrastructure.
Demonstrable experience managing multiple accounts, projects or entities simultaneously.
Strong hands-on background across accounts administration, budgeting, forecasting and payroll.
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
Proactive mindset with the ability to manage priorities and drive solutions.
Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-finance stakeholders.

This is a 6-month freelance contract, offering £300–£400 per day, with an ASAP start and potential for extension depending on project requirements.
