About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our finance leadership team. This pivotal role ensures financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency across all finance functions.

You will lead statutory audits, revenue assurance, cost recognition, treasury operations, and process improvement initiatives, including the adoption of Sage Intacct.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to combine technical accounting expertise with strategic insight, driving the company’s financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Audit Leadership

• Lead and coordinate the statutory audit process, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements
• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and internal stakeholders
• Maintain strong internal controls and deliver audit outputs on time

Revenue Assurance & Cost Recognition

• Oversee revenue recognition policies in line with IFRS and industry best practices
• Implement and monitor cost recognition and allocation methods
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to maintain financial governance

Treasury & Cash Management

• Manage day-to-day treasury operations: cash flow, liquidity, and forecasting
• Prepare detailed cash flow forecasts and scenario analyses for strategic decisions
• Optimise working capital and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions

Financial Control & Reporting

• Drive month-end and year-end close processes for accurate and timely reporting
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls across finance functions
• Provide actionable financial insights to support strategic business decisions

Systems & Process Improvement

• Champion the adoption and optimisation of Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance financial oversight

Qualifications & Experience:

• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualified accountant
• Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team while working independently
• Big 4 experience strongly preferred
• Experience in FinTech or technology-enabled industries advantageous
• Expertise in statutory audits, IFRS accounting, treasury, and cash flow management
• Hands-on experience with revenue assurance and cost recognition frameworks
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and time-management skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Sage Intacct experience preferred; proficiency with other ERP systems valued
