Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a fast-paced SaaS business on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is integral to overseeing financial operations across multiple international entities and will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering strategic financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Oversee international consolidations and multi-entity reporting.
- Manage revenue recognition processes in accordance with IFRS 15 and ASC 606.
- Prepare and review reconciliations, schedules, and financial disclosures.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of ERP systems, specifically NetSuite, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and provide technical accounting expertise.
- Prepare management accounts and support the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate audit processes.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external reporting and tax filing requirements.
- Manage one direct report, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team culture.
- Standardise accounting policies and implement process improvements across the group.
- Maintain a strong understanding of deferred, accrued, and unbilled revenue in a recurring revenue model.
- Complete ad hoc finance tasks and projects as required.
About You:
- ACA-qualified with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–10 years’ experience in financial accounting, ideally in a SaaS or professional services environment.
- Proven expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, and technical accounting standards.
- Experience working in a Private Equity-backed environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of transfer pricing, deferred revenue, and revenue recognition (IFRS 15/ASC 606).
- Proficient in ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage audits and prepare annual financial statements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, multi-currency, international environment.
