Our client is a specialist advisory firm with an outstanding reputation in restructuring, and complex special situations. The business is growing steadily across multiple jurisdictions and is now looking to hire a Financial Controller to support internal finance, regulatory compliance, and operational delivery. This is a pivotal role within a lean, high-impact and high-quality business.

Description

Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will take ownership of all internal financial operations, including cashflow forecasting, monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and the interface with external accountants for payroll, statutory filings and tax. You will also oversee company secretarial duties and regulatory compliance, including FCA and ICAEW reporting. Additionally, the role plays a vital part in supporting insolvency cases, managing systems, transitioning to cloud systems, case cashiering, and productivity analysis.

Skills

The successful candidate for this Financial Controller role will be a qualified accountant, with prior experience as a financial controller in a professional services or advisory environment. Familiarity with insolvency procedures, regulatory filings, and managing multiple stakeholders will be highly valued. Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to manage a broad workload independently are essential.
