Financial Controller - Open Ended Funds

Our client is a leading investment management group with several billion USD in assets under management and offices throughout Europe and North America. We are helping the firm to recruit a Fund Financial Controller, who will oversee the accounting, reporting, control and growth of small number of 'open-ended' funds.

The role will directly support the Finance Director and will be broad initially, with scope to hire and develop a small team. Example responsibilities will include:

• Preparing quarterly financial statements and reporting packs (internal users and external investors);
• Preparing the accounting and reporting for the fund structures (NAV postings, capital calls, investment transactions, subscriptions/redemptions, expenses etc);
• Supporting the annual audit process;
• Preparation and review of investor NAV statements;
• Monthly fund NAV calculation and publication; and
• Investor reporting packs (narrative and data on fund performance and highlights).
• Working closely with other in-house teams (legal / admin, Finance, Treasury, Legal, etc) on both day-to-day activities and ad-hoc transactions/strategies;

You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/CA, ACCA or CIMA) and experienced Fund Controller in the investment management sector in London. Exposure to open-ended funds is crucial and we expect this to have been gained with an asset management firm, hedge fund or multi-strategy asset manager.
