Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. This is a critical role that will provide strategic insights and contribute to key business decisions. The Financial Controller will manage all financial aspects of the company, from preparing financial statements to providing leadership to a small finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Manage the preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end financial statements, and other financial reports.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Financial Strategy: Provide insightful analysis and financial recommendations to guide key business decisions.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a small finance team, providing support and guidance on day-to-day financial operations.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital: Oversee cash flow management and working capital optimization.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience in a Financial Controller role or similar senior finance position.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and financial reporting.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and develop a finance team, ensuring high levels of performance and collaboration.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable insights to the business.
- Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) is preferred, but not essential.
