Description

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Financial Crime Business Analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Northampton.


As an experienced Financial Crime Business Analyst, you will support the client’s major financial crime programme within the payments issuing and acquiring business, focused on enhancing financial crime standards, particularly customer due diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC). This programme aligns with evolving regulatory expectations in the UK, reflecting a more mature and proactive approach to financial crime risk management.


Responsibilities

  • Support programme mobilisation by defining the roadmap, key milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely execution
  • Contribute to uplifting Financial Crime policy standards, rewriting processes, and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with regulatory expectations
  • Establish project fundamentals, set up effective communication channels, and introduce best practices to drive operational efficiency
  • Ensure alignment with the evolving UK regulatory landscape, incorporating industry best practices and regulatory guidance into the programme’s framework


Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years experience working in Financial Crime
  • Strong background in Financial Crime, AML, and KYC/CDD frameworks, with experience in Payments Issuing and Acquiring businesses
  • Hands-on experience in financial crime transformation programmes, particularly those focused on process reengineering and policy uplift
  • Familiarity with UK regulatory expectations and recent developments in financial crime risk management, including FCA and JMLSG guidelines
  • Ability to engage stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, and Change teams to drive alignment and execution
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills to support process standardisation and project governance
