Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Team Lead | GoHenry
We are looking for an experienced and self-driven
Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Team Leader to work in a Financial Crime team which ensures adherence to GoHenry’s Financial Crime risk management policies and processes, focussing on fraud risk transaction monitoring, anti-money laundering suspicious transaction monitoring, and providing insightful reporting to senior management. services. As part of this role you will have four direct reports for whom your leadership skills will play an integral part in driving them forward to meet department strategy.
This is a permanent full-time role (37.5 hours a week). Flexibility will be required to work different hours as and when needed by the successful candidate to ensure the best level of service is provided to our GoHenry members.
We are looking for a confident and target-orientated Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Team Leader to join our team. We are 100% Office-based in our Farnborough office.
What you’ll do:
You will work as part of a Financial Crime Team within a dedicated risk management function as well as maintaining close contact with the Financial Crime Data Analytics team and other relevant product and operational roles.
- Be the go-to person for our UK & US team of Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Assistants
- Oversee the planning of the department’s legal and operational training requirements
- Support the Financial Crime Manager in creating and maintaining departmental reports
- Be a point of escalation for customer account activity whilst supporting our Member Services and Operations Teams to resolve customer issues quickly with a Financial Crime perspective
- Lead Financial Crime Team meetings
- Oversee the quality assurance programme and the performance KPIs of the Transaction Monitoring function such that it operates efficiently and effectively at all times.
- Where required, assist with the performance of customer screening against PEPs & Sanctions Lists
- Manage the execution of chargeback strategy, analysis of outcomes, patterns, and overall performance
- Manage the liaison with Banks & Police on DPA requests while taking full responsibility for the Internal and External SAR process
- Cover additional departmental tasks as and when necessary
What you’ll bring to GoHenry:
- 2+ years of experience leading a transaction monitoring function in the online payment and fraud prevention environment
- Experience delivering staff training, monitoring staff performance & development
- Experience managing policy and process regarding reviewing PEPs and Sanction
- A proactive and collaborative attitude in working with multiple internal departments, with an ability to work under pressure making quick, but informed decisions
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to measure and achieve performance goals.
- Expert time management and attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills with a proven ability to design reports and implement structured workflow
- Fluent in English across both spoken and written communications
