Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller. Work alongside the Senior Financial Accountant to support the FinOps process and collaborate with wider finance team.

- Take ownership of the Solvency II Reporting process which includes the timetable and co-ordination with different teams
- Preparation and analysis of the Quarterly (QRT’s) and Annual Solvency II
- Reporting (ART’s), including the SFCR
- Preparation of other regulatory requests (QNST’s, NAIC) to various bodies
- Preparation and analysis of the quarterly Solvency Capital Requirement with related analysis and commentary
- Support the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process
- Preparation of IFRS17 financials
- Preparation of year end Statutory Accounts for including liaison with various departments to obtain the required information
- Preparation of Board Packs
- A good understanding of accounting principles, including UK GAAP and IFRS
- An understanding of Solvency II regulations, particularly Pillar 3 reporting requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed to interpret results and identify areas for improvement
- Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines
- 3-5 years post Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Advanced level spreadsheet skills and PC literacy
- Partnership experience ideally with an audit practice background
- Experience of working with a General Ledger (preferably Oracle)
- Collaboration and communication with other Finance functions (Tax,
- Technical Accounting, Financial Accounting, Corporate Controllership) and other departments (Actuarial, Claims, Operations, FP&A) to assist in continuous enhancement of reporting processes
- Assist with ongoing systems development to build (Board & MI) reporting suite for all regulated entities
- Lead the documentation of processes and the design of appropriate controls
