Financial Reporting Accountant

Simpson Judge Ltd are partnered with a Top UK Accountancy practice In the search for a Financial Reporting Accountant in their Advisory team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded accountant who enjoys working on complex reporting engagements across a wide range of industries.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting and advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements for a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
• Advise clients on UK GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102 accounting treatments and disclosure requirements.
• Support clients with complex group consolidations, transition projects, and ad hoc financial reporting queries.
• Work closely with the audit and advisory teams to provide seamless client service.
• Assist in the development and review of internal templates and best practice reporting processes.
• Provide technical support and training to junior staff on financial reporting matters.
• Liaise directly with clients, building strong relationships and identifying value-added opportunities.

About You

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong technical grounding.
• Experience within a UK accountancy practice (Top 50 firm or similar environment preferred).
• Excellent knowledge of FRS 102, IFRS, and Companies Act requirements.
• Proven ability to prepare and review statutory accounts across a range of sectors.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• Commercially aware with an eye for detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
