I am working with a global specialty insurer where they are hiring an External Reporting Manager to join their team for a 12 month period.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve journals and complex transactions.
• Liaise with auditors, actuaries, and investment teams.
• Review statutory accounts and regulatory returns for overseas entities.
• Manage the consolidation process, including system and manual adjustments.
• Oversee reconciliations and control processes.
• Support overseas offices with technical accounting.
• Lead process improvements and maintain internal controls.
• Managing direct reports, reviewing their work, and providing guidance where applicable.
• Any other BAU support during busy reporting times.

Personal Profile

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/CA/ACA) with at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, Companies Act, and IFRS reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Extensive experience in Group consolidations and multi-currency across multiple entities.
• Prior experience within the insurance industry essential.
