Our main operating centres are based in Esh Winning (Durham) and Great Heck (near Selby).

The Opportunity: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Fleet Administrate Assistant to assist with our fleet management and compliance efforts. This is a pivotal role ensuring the efficiency, safety, and legal compliance of our fleet, while supporting operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the fleet engineer in the day to day management of the HGV fleet.
• Support in scheduling routine maintenance, inspections and servicing.
• Help manage vehicle breakdowns, recoveries and repairs effectively and promptly.
• Ensure fleet activities comply with DVSA regulations and operator license requirements.
• Help maintain accurate vehicle records, maintenance schedules and defect reporting logs.
• Act as a point of contact for HGV drivers regarding vehicle issues.
• Liaise with external garages and internal workshops for serving and repairs.
• Monitor service schedules and vehicle MOT expiry dates.
• Identify and report on opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
• Support incident and accident investigations.
• Maintain up to date vehicle records.
• Assist with audits, and external compliance checks.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a logistics environment.
• Knowledge of operator license and DVSA requirements
• Strong knowledge of UK transport laws, WTD, and driver hours.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• CPC qualification (desirable).
