Soft Facilities Management Bid Estimator
Location – This role will require travel across the UK, with a visit required to our office in Byfleet, Surrey (KT14) once a month (On average)

The role
Working as part of the Bid Team and reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will be responsible for gathering, processing and presenting key data for new contract bids in the Social Housing sector.
This role requires travel across the UK to visit sites. You will determine labour time, materials and associated costs for cleaning, grounds maintenance and other facilities management services.
It is essential to build effective working relationships with external customers to ensure service excellence is maintained.
Main Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret detailed new contract documentation to identify pricing requirements
• Analyse large quantities of asset data; identify gaps and raise any clarifications
• Identify and analyse risks, such as TUPE and KPIs
• Make accurate and concise notes on contract documentation
• Build bespoke Excel costing spreadsheets for each specific Tender
• Arrange site visits throughout the UK (many 100s per tender) and work to tight deadlines.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure all specification requirements are captured and costed.
• Handle multiple tenders at different stages of pricing
Your skills and experiences
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel UK-wide (including occasional overnight stays)
• Prior experience working in the Social Housing sector (or similar)
• Hands-on knowledge of equipment and tools for Cleaning and/or Grounds Maintenance work
• Competent with Microsoft Excel
• Very good with numbers / carrying out accurate calculations
• Highly organised and able to multi-task
• Excellent attention to detail
• Very good communication skills
• Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels (up to Board level)
• Be able to work without daily supervision and manage your own workload with flexibility over working hours
• Be able to follow a schedule and work to stringent deadlines
• Have a can do, positive attitude
• A strong customer focused approach
