The Role

Technical Services team as a
Food & Non-Food Technologist! This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience, support our retailer clients, and make a real impact in the food industry.

About The Position
Shift: Monday to Friday
Salary: £26,000
Location: Rotherham
Contract: 40 hours per week, Full-Time, Permanent
The day to day
- Using your technical knowledge to ensure product compliance with the latest regulations.
- Working closely with retailer food suppliers to manage product specifications and quality attributes.
- Collecting and analysing testing data to support marketability reports for retailers.
- Responding to technical queries from clients and preparing detailed reports.
- Preparing food samples for organoleptic testing (taste, smell, and texture analysis).
- Conducting physical, organoleptic, and appearance testing on products.
The Essentials
- A degree-level qualification in Food Sciences, Nutrition, or a related scientific field (or be in the final year of your degree).
- A solid understanding of food regulations, labelling, and the food industry.
- Strong reporting and writing skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing projects and meeting tight deadlines.
- A methodical, organised, and analytical approach, with exceptional attention to detail.
- The confidence to make well-informed decisions quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- A strong interest in the food industry and a desire to learn and grow within the sector
