Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? We are seeking a dedicated Foster Wales Recruitment Officer to join our team in Pembrokeshire, contributing to the vital work of Maethu Cymru / Foster Wales. In this role, you will be at the forefront of fostering recruitment, raising awareness and coordinating local events to support the growth of our foster care community.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly and efficiently to fostering enquiries, managing them through the recruitment process with precision and care.

Conduct recruitment calls, visits, and pre-assessment viability checks to ensure potential foster carers are well-informed and prepared.

Collaborate with the Regional Marketing Officer to enhance our online presence and brand visibility through social media and website content.

Facilitate Stage 1 checks, ensuring all necessary evaluations are completed to ensure suitability.

Contribute to pre-approval training for fostering applicants, supporting their journey towards becoming foster carers.

Work closely with colleagues, local businesses, and stakeholders to raise awareness and foster positive relationships.

Qualifications And Skills

Hold an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in social work, health, social care, youth, or childcare.

Possess significant experience working with foster carers, looked after children, and a solid understanding of relevant principles.

Showcase exceptional organizational skills, record-keeping abilities, and proficiency in IT packages.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, essential for building relationships and managing enquiries.
