Energy Aspects are excited to have an opportunity for a dynamic and detail oriented FP&A Analyst to join our newly established Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within our fast-growing organisation.
This role will be pivotal in shaping the financial future of our company by providing insightful analysis and data-driven decision support. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing robust financial models, forecasting and performance metrics that will drive our business forward. As part of a newly created function, you will have the unique opportunity to influence and build processes from the ground up, contributing to the overall success and scalability of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and management of budgeting and forecasting processes, including the creation of forecast models, cash flow projections, and performance monitoring against established budgets and forecasts.
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning initiatives, focusing on projections beyond three years.
- Manage and optimize business intelligence tools and dashboards to enhance data-driven decision-making.
- Support the month-end closing process and the preparation of Management Information (MI) reports, providing insightful analysis.
- Conduct strategic analyses to aid key stakeholders in informed decision-making.
- Analyse and report on key business performance drivers to identify trends and opportunities.
- Oversee revenue reporting, including KPI analysis and revenue accruals management.
- Facilitate the development and integration of efficient processes across finance and other business functions.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses as required to support various business needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial, business partnering, or FP&A role.
- Proven experience in business partnering with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with experience in financial systems and business consolidation/analysis tools (e.g., Datarails, Sage Intacct, Netsuite, Adaptive, Anaplan).
- Familiarity with PowerBI/Power Query is advantageous.
- High proficiency in financial modelling and reporting.
- Self-motivated team player with strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Solid understanding of relevant accounting practices, particularly IFRS15 and deferred revenue.
- Finalist or qualified in ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent, with a commitment to complete within the next 12-18 months.
Desirable skills:
- Experience working with multiple currencies at a group level.
- Skilled in using dashboards and other visualisations to deliver data-driven insights.
- Commercially minded with a strategic approach to business challenges.
- Experience in SaaS or professional services is preferred.
- Familiarity with private equity or high-growth environments is desirable, with M&A activity experience being a plus.
- Experience in digital transformation or implementing new systems is an advantage.
