Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

Investigo is partnering with a respected consultancy organisation who are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join their dynamic finance team. This newly created role offers the opportunity to work closely with project teams and senior stakeholders, providing insightful financial analysis that supports key business decisions.
About the Role:
As an FP&A Analyst, you will report to the Finance Director and play a crucial role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. You will partner with consultancy teams to enhance financial understanding and support project profitability management. Your work will directly influence strategic financial planning and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with consultancy teams to improve processes and provide financial insights
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles
- Deliver detailed monthly financial reporting, including project profitability and variance analysis
- Maintain and develop financial models for scenario planning and decision support
- Support project profitability measurement and provide financial training to project teams
- Drive continuous improvements in financial systems, processes, and bespoke reporting
What We’re Looking For:
- Recognised UK accounting qualification (CIMA preferred)
- Experience in commercial finance, ideally in consultancy or similar environments
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Familiarity with project structures in client-consultant businesses
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with non-finance stakeholders
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze complex financial data
- Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills; Business Central experience is a plus
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a fast-paced setting
- Proactive, commercially minded, and solution-oriented
