Job Description
We’re looking for a FP&A Analyst contractor to join our on-a 6-month basis. This role is critical in shaping CityFibre’s financial strategic planning, forecasting, and analysis across FP&A and corporate functions. You'll lead on consolidated reporting, headcount modelling, and cashflow forecasting, partnering with senior stakeholders to drive insight and efficiency.
What you’ll be doing:
- Take ownership of headcount and staff cost modelling, helping teams understand changes and supporting smarter workforce planning
- Lead the way in financial planning by preparing and analysing consolidated results for board reporting, budgets, and key business decisions
- Collaborate with purpose, working closely with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders to shape budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans
- Drive insight and impact by forecasting corporate function spend and supporting M&A performance tracking with clear, actionable analysis
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Strong analytical and Excel modelling skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, meaningful insights
- A collaborative and confident communication style, building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, stay calm under pressure, and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, always looking for ways to improve processes and add value to the business
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) and a solid foundation in financial planning and analysis

- Strong Excel modelling skills – can effectively and pragmatically build spreadsheets that are robust and scalable Possesses the critical eye for detail and the ability to quickly identify key issues
- Experience in providing high quality financial insight, which extends beyond standardised reporting
- Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities with the resilience to manage expectations and work to tight deadlines
