Skills And Competencies
Effective people leader with experience managing and developing FP&A analysts
Strong financial modelling skills and advanced proficiency in Excel and FP&A systems
Skilled in analytics and automation tools, such as Power BI, SQL, R, Python, with an interest in leveraging agentic AI to streamline workflows
Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with the capacity to present complex financial insights to senior stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to translate complex financial data into actionable commercial insights
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships
Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous process improvement and digital enablement
Professional financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Responsibilities
Lead FP&A planning, reporting, forecasting, and insights for the Commercial organisation, managing a team and driving data-driven commercial decision-making.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two Senior Financial Analysts, promoting high performance and analytical excellence
Oversee monthly reporting, including variance analysis, KPIs, First-Time Mandates (FTM), Private Credit, and Commercial Scorecard performance
Generate executive-level insights that influence strategic and commercial decisions
Partner with senior stakeholders across regional and global teams to deliver clear, data-driven recommendations
Drive adoption of agentic AI tools to automate workflows and enhance analytical outputs
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial data, models, and commentary across FP&A deliverables
Support strategic initiatives through scenario modelling, commercial analytics, and ad-hoc financial analysis
Facilitate effective communication and alignment across Commercial, Finance, and cross-functional partners
About The Team
Our Commercial FP&A team is responsible for delivering financial insights, planning, and analysis that support Moody’s Ratings’ global commercial strategy. We contribute by; providing timely, accurate financial reporting and performance insights, partnering with commercial leaders to inform pricing, planning, and strategic decision-making, and driving operational efficiency through enhanced analytics, automation, and digital FP&A capabilities.
