Reporting to the Head of Development, you will primarily work on the front-end team developing our internal ticketing portal using AngularJS, C# and other technologies. As a member of our team, you will take an active role in conceptualising and creating new features, with a strong emphasis on adhering to best practice guidelines, enhancing performance, ensuring maintainability, and facilitating scalability.
You can also expect to:
● Developing and maintaining custom frontend solutions in AngularJS (TypeScript)
● Contributing to our in-house API system built with C# and .NET
● Running and improving test suites using Cypress
● Ensuring high-quality code through testing, documenting and reviews
● Collaborating and supporting team members to boost UX/UI, customer satisfaction and feedback
● Monitoring overall health of applications via Sentry, GitLab and Security testing tools
This role is within our in-house engineering team based in Brighton, UK. We are an on-site team currently, and you’re expected to be on-site 5 days a week.
Who are we looking for:
We require an experienced mid-level front-end engineer with strong skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, AngularJS, and APIs with a solid grasp of engineering principles. If you love working for an internal engineering team and feel you would have the skillset to impress, we’d love to hear from you.
You will also be comfortable working not only within a team but also independently, showing your ability to produce and maintain digital experiences.
● Strong front-end development skills (TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) with vast experience using frameworks and version control.
● Experience working with CI/CD tools for deployments
● Experience working with APIs and tracking tools
● Proven experience in a professional team working on production-ready products
● Deep understanding of core coding principles
● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
● An understanding of Agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
Candidates not already based within a 30-mile radius of Brighton and Hove will not be considered for the position.
