Full Stack Developer (Python/Django + SCADA)

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with strong backend expertise in Python, Django, Celery, and Redis, coupled with hands-on experience integrating or working with SCADA systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable applications, integrating real-time industrial systems data, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

Location: Uxbridge / Windsor, United Kingdom

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Python/Django.
• Have working knowledge and experience with SCADA systems and protocols (e.g., OPC-UA, Modbus) and integrating them into tech stack.
• Implement asynchronous task queues using Celery with Redis as the broker.
• Develop and manage REST APIs for communication with frontend applications and third-party systems.
• Work on frontend components using JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React or similar).
• Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot integration issues with SCADA systems.
• Ensure security, data protection, and compliance standards are met.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable codes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Implement security and data protection measures for cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure the continuous integration and deployment of applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and reliability.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing and full stack development

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• 3+ years’ experience with Python and Django framework.
• Strong understanding of Celery task queues and Redis.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and industrial protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus, DNP3).
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORMs.
• Proficient in building and consuming REST APIs.
• Basic to intermediate frontend development skills (React, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, JS).
• Familiarity with Linux environments, Docker, and deployment practices.
• A willingness to learn quickly

Nice to Have:

• Experience with MQTT, Kafka, or other messaging systems.
• Knowledge of industrial automation environments specifically with Water and Wastewater and or Manufacturing Systems
• Experience with time-series monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices in OT/IT systems.

• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
