Full Stack Java Developer – Multiple Openings Across Front Office Teams

Location: London

Salary: Up to £150k base + very strong disc. bonus

The Opportunity

Multiple full stack developers to join growing front office engineering teams in London. These are high-impact, hands-on roles building tools and infrastructure to support investment professionals across the business. Each position will vary in focus - some are more backend-heavy (up to 90% Java), while others more balanced or frontend-leaning experience (up to 90% React).

Teams span multiple asset areas, including Equities, Credit, Treasury, and Risk, so prior experience in any of these domains is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Building robust, scalable platforms to support front office workflows
• Developing tools and applications for research, risk analysis, idea generation, and portfolio construction
• Designing and optimising APIs and data pipelines
• Enhancing system infrastructure for scalability and performance
• Working closely with investment professionals (e.g., analysts, PMs, risk) to build fit-for-purpose solutions
• Supporting and iterating on existing systems and applications

What We're Looking For

• 2-7 years of commercial software development experience
• Strong Java programming skills
• Experience with React or other frontend technologies is highly beneficial
• Solid SQL / RDBMS skills
• Exposure to financial services - experience in hedge funds, banks, or trading environments is a plus
• Enthusiastic about working across the stack (frontend/backend/middleware/databases)
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
