Fund Controller - Alternative Assets

JSS is delighted to be partnered with a global leader in the Alternative Asset Management industry.

We are seeking a high-calibre ACA-qualified professional with 2–5 years’ post-qualification experience. Multiple opportunities are available for individuals with a proven track record in Fund Accounting and a clear upward career trajectory.

Role Highlights:

• Collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external service providers to calculate monthly NAVs and validate corporate-level transactions. This includes overseeing subscription and redemption activity, promote and distribution calculations, management fees, NAV allocations, liquidity forecasting, and general corporate expenditure.
• Monitor fund liquidity and support treasury operations, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of capital in line with investor activity and operational needs.
• Analyse complex financial data to produce timely, insightful reporting for senior management, aiding strategic decision-making across the business.
• Coordinate and facilitate fund board meetings, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive reporting through cross-departmental collaboration.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Lead the external audit process, liaising effectively with auditors, service providers, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial disclosures.
• Support fund-level tax compliance and investor reporting, working closely with internal tax specialists and external advisors.
• Contribute to the resolution of technical accounting matters and assist with ad hoc projects throughout the year.

Ideal Candidate:

• ACA qualified with strong exam performance
• Outstanding academic background
• Experience working with investment management or private equity clients
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, with excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Confident communicator, adept at building relationships and collaborating across functions and geographies
