Our client, a venture capital firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail and process-oriented Fundraising Associate to join their fundraising team that is working across Venture Capital, Venture Debt and Secondary Strategies. This role involves supporting the entire fundraising process, with a focus on institutional investors in the US, EU, and UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealing with public and institutional investors, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex, long-term projects with precision and discipline
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Funnel Management:
- Develop and maintain a structured fundraising funnel
- Schedule and coordinate calls and meetings with investors
- Conduct timely follow-ups and keep detailed track of the fundraising progress
- Ensure consistent communication and updates to investors
- Coordinate due diligence processes for investors, ensuring all requirements are met
Process Coordination:
- Assist the entire fundraising process from initial contact to closing
- Provide support for Venture Capital or Venture Debt fundraising activities as required
Data Management and Analysis:
- Track and analyse fundraising metrics and investor engagement
- Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and investor communications
- Generate reports and provide insights to managing partnered on fundraising progress and investor trends
Communication:
- Prepare and deliver regular updates and reports to senior management
- Ensure clear and effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the fundraising process
- Assist in managing relationships with existing and potential investors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or a related field
- Min. 3 years of experience in fundraising, investor relations, or a related role within the placement agent industry
- Experience in coordinating institutional due diligence
- Strong understanding of venture capital and private equity markets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with investors
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to coordinate and manage long-term, complex projects
- Consistency and discipline in process management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software
