About The Role

LGBT Foundation is an impactful, vibrant charity with a wide portfolio of well-established services and rapidly developing new initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans people. We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator to join our Fundraising and Marketing Team. This is a new role for the organisation, bringing in additional capacity to develop our supporter base by supporting fundraising appeals, mobilisation campaigns, and engagement events throughout the year. The successful candidate will coordinate quarterly fundraising appeals and supporter events (in Liverpool, Manchester, London, or elsewhere in the UK), whilst also supporting our annual fundraising gala event and public engagement activations (including Pride events).

The Fundraising and Marketing Team at LGBT Foundation is a passionate and collaborative group of professionals dedicated to advancing the financial resilience, visibility and impact of the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing charity. The team is responsible for implementing an ambitious fundraising and marketing strategy. By building an engaged supporter base and powerfully communicating the impact of LGBT Foundation’s work to a growing audience of LGBTQ+ communities and allies, the team strives to generate support to help continue the charity’s work empowering LGBTQ+ communities, amplifying voices and spearheading positive change.

This role will provide administrative events and campaigns support to the Fundraising and Marketing team at LGBT Foundation. This role will work closely with the Income Generation Manager and Director of Fundraising & Marketing to support delivery of public appeals and corporate partnership events.

Our Fundraising Coordinator will be instrumental in supporting our Pride programme. They will need to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to deliver high-quality events and impactful fundraising appeals to achieve income generation targets whilst also promoting our life -changing services.

We are taking positive action to encourage applications from people of colour (PoC) and other racially minoritised communities, trans*, non-binary, and/or older people (aged 50+), to improve the representation of colleagues from these communities in our staff team.

  • Trans is an umbrella & inclusive term used to describe people whose gender identity differs in some way from that which they were assigned at birth; including non-binary people, cross-dressers, and those who partially or incompletely identify with their sex assigned at birth.

Role Accountabilities

Coordinating Fundraising and Brand Engagement Events

  • Coordinate regular networking events for corporate and philanthropic stakeholders, overseeing event plans, making room bookings, event listings/invites, managing RSVPs, refreshments orders, securing raffle/auction prizes and follow-up communications.
  • Support Volunteer Days and Lunch & Learn events with our corporate partners.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for our annual Fundraising Gala.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for Pride season to support the Pride Lead, ensuring LGBT Foundation’s representation at events.
  • Liaising with the Volunteer Team to hire and supervise a pool of engaged and confident fundraising volunteers able to support with upcoming appeals and events.

Fundraising and Marketing Support

  • Support our wider fundraising and marketing efforts to raise brand awareness, positioning LGBT Foundation as the leading LGBTQ health and wellbeing charity. This role will provide administrative and hands-on event support for campaigns which raise brand awareness and attract new supporters, including engagement events such as our annual fundraising gala.
  • Supporting individual giving appeals throughout the year to help meet the charity’s public donation targets. This will involve collaborating with fundraising and marketing colleagues plus other key stakeholders to develop compelling appeal stories and raise in-person awareness of live appeals with identified audiences.
  • Meticulously maintain records using a combination of event plans, Outlook correspondence, Eventbrite listings/reports, SharePoint files and Salesforce database to ensure a high degree of organisation for fundraising and marketing campaigns and events.

Directly report to the Income Generation Manager, providing regular updates on event and campaign plans which will be helping to build and engage our valued supporter base.
