Job Purpose
We’re looking for a proactive and solutions-focused individual to act as a key link between works promoters (UU field teams) and our Network Partners, including Network Plus and subcontractors. In this role, you’ll ensure that all follow-on works are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction. As a custodian of the network, you’ll oversee that all works meet the required specifications and maintain long-term network integrity in line with service level agreements. You’ll also play a vital role in streamlining decision-making, enabling quick and effective resolutions, and maximising the value of every solution delivered.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Support operational teams in ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, quality, and security policies across the Water Network.
- Act as the Responsible Person on-site for Health & Safety matters and ensure works maintain long-term network integrity in line with SLAs.
- Provide technical advice to field teams and partners, reviewing data to identify efficient, non-disruptive solutions and manage further work recommendations.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, chair review meetings, and support commercial teams in resolving complex contractual issues.
- Respond to reactive work, manage customer liaison, oversee site delivery, and contribute to CMEX performance and budget control.

Technical Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in network operations and maintenance, with strong knowledge of United Utilities policies and Health & Safety practices.
- Skilled in on-site operations including deep excavation and trenching, with an understanding of regulatory frameworks such as OFWAT.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organisational abilities, with proven problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Customer-focused with budget awareness and cost estimating experience, capable of delivering high-quality service to both internal and external customers.
A full UK driving licence is required to carry out the role
