FX Operations Analyst - Derivatives Operations

Contract Length: Until March 2026

Location: London

Working Pattern: Hybrid (2–3 days in office)

Rate: £220.00 per day PAYE

We’re working with a leading institution in the corporate and investment banking sector, supporting their search for an experienced FX Operations Analyst to join their Derivative Operations team on a long-term contract. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end processing of foreign exchange transactions, ensuring smooth settlements, accurate ledger entries, and timely confirmations—all within a regulated and globally connected operations environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely processing of FX trades from front-office systems to payment systems and the general ledger
• Matching trade confirmations in line with internal and market-wide practices
• Monitoring and reconciling settlements including CLS and SWIFT
• Liaising with front-office and EMEA teams to support high-volume, high-value transactions
• Investigating and resolving nostro reconciliation breaks and settlement discrepancies
• Maintaining and enhancing desk procedures, process improvements, and supporting UATs

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of recent FX operations experience
• Strong understanding of FX settlements and CLS
• Familiarity with MT/MX SWIFT formats and yearly updates
• Hands-on experience with trade confirmation and affirmation workflows
• Knowledge of industry documentation (ISDA, DRV, FBF) and regulatory reporting expectations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
