The Opportunity

You will work on a strategic project to develop an AI-powered knowledge capitalisation and utilisation system (Prometheum) that combines the latest technologies in large language models and retrieval methods to enable engineering teams to access, structure and utilise organisational expertise efficiently.

This is a very exciting and ambitious 2-year project, and a key component of our AI strategy. You will be required to work on the frontier of the rapidly evolving GenAI field. The resulting Prometheum system will serve the company needs for decades to come and will reinforce our position as a leading competitor in our sectors and as a leading innovator.

You will work directly with our Head of Innovation and supported by leading academics. Additionally, you will have the support of the broader IKOS lab and Innovation teams, with other colleagues working also on AI projects and PhDs.

About you

You hold a Master’s or PhD (desirable) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or a closely related field. We are looking for a candidate who has experience in developing and deploying Knowledge Graphs, strong understanding of Language Models, (including retrieval-augmented generation techniques), software engineering practices (including agile development), development and deployment methods, and strong programming skills (Python preferred).
