About The Role
This position is embedded within the multidisciplinary Research Farm Team, which manages the 850-acre North Wyke Farm—a mixed enterprise including beef, sheep, and arable operations. The farm is both a working commercial unit and a research platform, hosting a wide array of experiments and environmental monitoring systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
The role focuses on supporting a range of farming activities across both commercial and experimental contexts. Responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day livestock care (beef and sheep)
- Grassland and arable land management
- Assisting with plot and livestock experiments
- Accurate data collection to support scientific studies
- Operation and basic maintenance of farm machinery
- Upholding animal welfare standards
