About the Role

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation, strategic direction, and commercial performance of Sittingbourne Racecourse. You'll lead a diverse team across racing, events, hospitality, and grounds management, ensuring every visitor enjoys a world-class experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the racecourse, including racing events, hospitality, and venue management
• Develop and implement strategic plans to grow revenue and enhance customer satisfaction
• Lead, motivate, and manage staff across multiple departments
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing, and industry regulations
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and the local community
• Drive marketing and promotional initiatives to increase attendance and brand visibility
• Manage budgets, financial reporting, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior management role, ideally within sport, leisure, or hospitality
