About The Role

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, compassionate, hard working and keenly motivated to make a difference and join our inpatient therapy team.

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Generic Technical Instructor within Inpatient Therapy Team 2 at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. We are able to offer one permanent post of 28.5 hours.

This team provides a therapy service to patients on critical care (ICU and ARCU), Respiratory, Surgery, Haematology and cardiology wards across Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.

The post holder will support Therapy staff in the assessment and treatment of inpatients referred into Mid Yorkshire Therapy Services and complete delegated tasks as required. This would be including, but not limited to, mobility practice, washing and dressing reviews, supporting on visits and daily admin to support patient discharge.

In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that candidates have the following qualifications:

  • GCSE in maths and English grades A-C or equivalent relevant experience
  • NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent level qualification
  • Desirable: Completion of care certificate

It is also essential that the preferred candidate has experience of working as a support worker within a health care setting and experience of working in a team.
