As part of the Transformation Services unit, the Procurement Value Creation team provides consulting in indirect procurement to our clients globally, optimizing third-party spend, driving efficiencies, accelerating cost reductions, and designing operating models for global clients. We enhance procurement strategies, digitalize S2C and P2P processes, and implement analytics for spend tracking. Through procurement assessments and cost optimization, we accelerate value capture and improve financial performance.
We are currently seeking a
Global Lead of Consulting Practice for Procurement Value Creation to lead our Procurement Value Creation team. The role can be based either in
Zurich or
London, depending on the candidate's preference. As we continue to grow, we are looking to further strengthen our highly experienced team to deliver best-in-class support to our expanding client base.
Role Purpose
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Procurement consulting team and delivering value-added Procurement consulting services in a structured, professional, and consistent manner. You will set the strategic direction for procurement consulting engagements, ensuring business growth and impactful client outcomes. This includes managing high-profile client relationships, contributing to long-term value creation, helping clients achieve a competitive edge and reduce their third-party spend. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation, develop new service offerings, and contribute to the firm's thought leadership through research, insights, and best practices in procurement. As a global team delivering projects for clients worldwide, there is also the exciting possibility of a secondment in one of our key locations, such as New York, Singapore, Mumbai, or Bucharest, depending on business needs and availability.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic, highly client-focused Global Team Lead to join our Procurement Value Creation team. This role requires a proven leader with expertise in procurement consulting. You will report directly to the Global Head of Transformation Services, who is part of the Global Executive Board.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing consulting team, ensuring their professional development while overseeing successful project delivery.
- Revenue Growth & New Offerings: Lead efforts to generate revenue, identify opportunities for service expansion, and develop new consulting offerings to meet evolving client needs.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain long-term relationships with C-level clients, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
- Deliver Strategic Projects: In addition to leading your team, you will oversee and deliver key strategic projects for our top clients with high C-level exposure.
- Shaping Procurement Strategies: Support the team in designing and implementing procurement strategies and operating models that deliver significant business value and impactful solutions for clients.
- AI & Automation: Own and drive the strategic development of the Chain IQ AI Consulting Agent, ensuring AI capabilities align with business goals and enhance consulting efficiency at scale.
Requirements
- Procurement & Strategy Expertise: Deep expertise in procurement strategy, category management, operating models, conceptual thinking, and cost transformation, with a proven track record of driving efficiency and innovation.
- Proactive & Inspiring Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead by example, inspire teams, and coach individuals to achieve their full potential.
- Executive-Level Influence: Strong negotiation skills, experience engaging with C-level stakeholders, and sharp business acumen to navigate internal and external complex challenges.
- Business Growth & Leadership: A demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and establish thought leadership within the industry.
- Experience & Education: At least 10 years of experience in consulting or procurement leadership. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Language Skills: Fluency in both German and English is required. Additional languages, such as French or Spanish, are a plus.
- Desirable skills: Data & analytics, AI & automation, prompt engineering, change management, storytelling & data visualization and/or graphic design.
