Nomura, a renowned global financial services group with a rich heritage and an integrated network spanning 30 countries, is seeking a Global Markets and Instinet Business Auditor to join their London-based Internal Audit team.

As part of Nomura's EMEA Internal Audit department, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding the integrity of business processes across Global Markets and Instinet, while also contributing to strategic initiatives such as data analytics.

What you'll do:

* Manage and support comprehensive internal audits of Global Markets and Instinet businesses, as well as other areas such as Investment Banking or Crypto Assets, ensuring thorough coverage from planning through reporting.

* Actively participate in all stages of the audit process including risk assessment, fieldwork execution, issue documentation, agreement with auditees, and delivery of value-added control improvements to senior management.

* Oversee risk assessments across Global Markets, Instinet, and related business areas using established departmental methodologies to identify emerging risks and inform audit planning.

* Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders in Global Markets and Instinet by maintaining regular communication through meetings and continuous monitoring programmes.

* Contribute to the ongoing evaluation of risk profiles by assessing changes that may impact audit plans or require updates to risk assessments or the audit universe.

* Support strategic initiatives for Data Analytics by actively participating in projects aimed at enhancing audit approaches through innovative use of data analysis techniques.

* Direct pre-implementation reviews, special projects, ad hoc investigations, and advisory assignments as required by senior management or regulatory developments.

* Ensure timely follow-up on issues raised in audit reports to confirm appropriate remediation actions have been implemented by responsible parties.

What you bring:

* Demonstrated experience auditing Global Markets operations and Equity Brokerage environments within financial institutions subject to international regulatory standards.

* Proven ability to manage complex front-to-back audits involving multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness.

* Exceptional relationship management skills with a track record of building trust with auditees and effectively engaging senior stakeholders across diverse business units.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills allowing you to convey findings clearly to both technical specialists and non-specialist audiences alike.

* Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification complemented by substantial work experience as a business auditor within financial services firms or leading consulting practices (Big 4 experience advantageous).

* Chartered Accountancy (ACA/ACCA/CISA) or equivalent professional qualification preferred, familiarity with agile auditing techniques highly desirable.
