Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Willis, a WTW business as a Lead Associate within our Global Placement function. The Global Placement team is focused on a number of key growth priorities for Risk & Broking. The primary focus for this role is working on our new data driven, automated, global facility helping to drive the product offering. The environment is fast-paced and the team is growing.
The Role
- Lead analysis to define the products underwritten and communicate this to the business
- Engaging broking teams to communicate the strategy and gain buy-in
- Work alongside technology teams to ensure business alignment
- Engage with senior stakeholders on the projects
- Work across GB, Western Europe and Australia.
Qualifications
The Requirements:
- A proven track record in the Insurance industry
- Preferably CII qualified
- Ability to assimilate and apply large volumes of information rapidly
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
- Able to prioritise, manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Solutions driven with an ability to own / manage various processes
- Comfortable explaining complex concepts and making recommendations
- Must be able to forge links between broking and client servicing and technical teams
- Degree level education or comparable industry experience
- Strong skills in problem solving, planning, and numeracy
Key competencies
- A good knowledge of the insurance market
- Project management – enjoys project focused work and is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities.
- Time management- likely to work on multiple projects at once across various regions/time-zones
- Analytical Skills - ability to work with and analyse data (taking on a wide range of information), relate data to the industry and distil it into clear conclusions and proposals.
- Oral and written communication- ability to adapt style or communication method in a confident manner depending on the audience.
- Persuasion and negotiation- influencing others in a positive manner through the use of compelling arguments and effective communication.
- Problem solving and decision making- analysing potential solutions to a problem and making effective decisions that lead to proactive solutions.
- Attention to Detail - highly organised and detail-oriented to manage and analyse data accurately.
