We remove landmines and unexploded ordnance to release safe and productive land for communities, and work to reduce the threat of armed violence by supporting governments to safely manage weapons and ammunition. About the role:
Based from our Manchester office, you will lead our procurement team to effectively support our UK office and international programmes with the supply of equipment, goods, and services. You will strategically manage MAG’s procurement function to support our organisational goals while guaranteeing compliance, quality, cost savings, and risk mitigation. You will use your expertise to foster strong relationships with suppliers and leverage technological advancements, ensuring constant coverage of critical commodities including EOD equipment, mechanical assets, vehicles, detection equipment, and general humanitarian supplies.
About you:
You will be an expert procurement professional with extensive experience working on international procurement including dual usage equipment and restricted goods. You will be skilled at managing international freight and transport, including freight forwarding, customs clearance monitoring, and a strong understanding of InCoTerms. You will be a motivated leader, with the experience and soft skills to support and manage professional development. You will have strong organisational skills, with the proven ability to oversee multiple international procurement processes and efficiently prioritise a workload of conflicting demands. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support, challenge, and negotiate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will have strong motivation to support the evolution of MAG’s procurement and logistics functions, and overall commitment to MAG’s strategic direction and core values.
