Reporting to the Software Marketing Manager, the Global Software Marketing Specialist plays a key role in developing the positioning, proposition and messaging for our market leading software portfolio. This role collaborates cross-functionally to gather market, product, and competitive intelligence to inform successful strategies to grow the pipeline and drive profitable growth. In this global role, you will help bring new software offerings and features to the market, optimize the value of software through brilliant positioning, and articulate what makes Dematic different.
Tasks And Qualifications
Gather and analyze data on the customer and market, leveraging key insights to inform decisions
- Understand the customer’s needs, challenges, customers, buying journey, buying criteria, and perception of value
- Assist with voice of customer efforts and identify key themes
- Uncover valuable insights that lead to breakthrough messaging and innovative products that solve customer challenges
- Collaborate with the Global Strategy team to share insights and advance organizational understanding of the customer, market, and competition
- Understand market drivers, trends, size, opportunities, and threats
- Know the players, partners, and competitors by analyzing their products, messaging, and marketing to differentiate and position Dematic’s offering
- Remain up to date on emerging and future trends across all relevant industries
- Leverage data to inform decision-making for strategy development and adjustments as necessary
Work cross-functionally to execute strategies that drive business growth and reinforce brand equity
- Manage various projects and campaigns for existing offerings and new product launches
- Assist with key messaging and positioning that differentiate products to optimize software value in various markets and ensure excellent execution of the strategy
- Communicate software strategies to colleagues in various functions (Product Marketing, Product Management, and Marketing & Communications) to ensure execution alignment
- Project manage the marketing process from discovery ideation to execution, by ensuring defined goals are met, budget and timeline parameters are observed, the right stakeholders are informed or consulted, and execution aligns to strategies
- Help develop sales tools, training, and content along key customer touchpoints
- Communicate software strategies and obtain input across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and other global and regional stakeholder groups
- Provide feedback to Marketing & Communications teams and agencies on content, collateral, and copy in the execution of GTM programs
Skills Required
- 2-4 years of professional software marketing experience, preferably in a B2B environment
- 1-2 years leading cross-functional teams and projects
- Experience with Cloud software and SaaS offerings a plus
- Able to work independently with moderate direction
- Learns complex concepts quickly and thinks critically
- A team player and true collaborator with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong analysis, project management, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workloads to meet competing deadlines
- You are passionate about technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
