Overall Purpose of Job:
This role supports the management and implementation of key talent, succession and promotion progresses globally, liaising directly with colleagues in EMEA, Americas, APAC and Tokyo. This role is pivotal in ensuring connectivity, communication and alignment in talent management activity across the regions and Tokyo
This role is responsible for oversight and execution of end to end Talent processes, driving a One MUFG mind-set, advising HR colleagues on best practice, conducting reporting, analysis and process improvements in order to contribute towards the identification and development of talent for a high performing organisation.

Essential Functions*:
Talent & Promotion
- Management of the global talent calendar, including global talent reviews and senior promotion processes, ensuring it is kept up to date and there is alignment/consideration of other key HR activity and business cycles.
- Support in the creation, management and annual review/updates of global talent process documentation, policies and procedures. Put in place processes for maintenance of documents and data where they do not already exist. Ensure globally consistent documentation is used throughout all talent processes
- Apply critical thinking and talent specialist knowledge to identify opportunities to change and improve MUFG’s talent management processes. Align regions to single, standard processes in order to support efficiency and ability to review our talent pool globally.
- Responsible for implementation of talent processes, outputs and MI in key systems, such as Workday and Anaplan, to ensure simple and effective processes and reporting are in place.
- Analysis of Talent, Succession and Promotion data and reporting to support management decision making such as for management boards, committees and head office to drive actions relating to talent development, progression and succession.
- Support the creation of presentation templates and materials for HR and Business Presentations. Deliver briefing sessions to Global HR and business stakeholders in preparation for talent and development planning processes
- Build relationships with HRBPs to provide first point of contact for Talent queries and advise on Talent Management process implementation. Provide guidance/ information and documentation as required to ensure processes are followed appropriately, and challenge stakeholders to take action to develop talent.
- Engage directly with business leaders as required to facilitate talent reviews.
- Facilitate post-process reviews, such as lessons learned/ after action review sessions to seek feedback and ways to improve talent management processes
- Partner with other HR teams such as HR Solutions, Analytics and Workforce Planning, and/or Performance and Reward on key HR cyclical processes and ensure collaboration and that talent activity is aligned to the work of other teams.
- Support on ensuring all talent processes adhere to regulatory requirements, capturing, diarising and documenting regional regulatory requirements for all talent activity
- Support with drafting talent management communications to HRBPs and the business
Career Development & Talent Progression
- Lead and contribute to initiatives to support talent development, for instance alignment of career and international mobility initiatives, and providing Talent insights in the development of Talent Programmes.
- Responsible for the delivery of development plans globally, from system implementation to training and employee/ manager upskilling.
- Manage communications and initiatives relating to career progression, such as project managing and/or contributing to “Own Your Career” Week and facilitating Career Development sessions.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team, drive awareness of internal opportunities to drive the internal candidate pipeline for MUFG and increase % of vacancies that MUFG appoints internal applicants.
Projects & Talent BAU
- Leading/ supporting on a variety of Talent projects and/or global enhancements as required.
Due to the global nature of this role, occasional participation in out of hours calls will be required.
Work Experience
- Knowledge of running talent processes preferred, either through COE or HRBP experience.
- Experience of managing projects with multiple stakeholders
- Experience working in a multi-national matrix organisation.
- Experience managing competing priorities/deadlines
Functional/Technical Skills And Knowledge Requirements
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Workday Talent Acquisition knowledge (desirable)
