The Corporate Governance Division Comprises The Following Functions
- Central Secretariat
- Consumer Panel Secretariat
- Decision-Making Committees Secretariat
- Practitioner Panels Secretariat
The Central Secretariat sits at the heart of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Payment Systems Regulator (PSR). The team works with the FCA and PSR Boards and senior executive committees of the FCA. It also owns the organisational Conflict of Interest (COI) policies for staff and non-executive directors and supports the Senior Managers Regime (SMR) function.
We are currently recruiting for a part-time SPS role. However, we also have a full-time SPS position available, so if you're looking for full-time hours, please do apply.
What will you be doing?
- Providing administrative support to one or more of FCA’s senior governance committees, including the FCA or PSR Board, working with colleagues to plan and conduct meetings, as well as following up afterwards
- Being the point of contact for queries for the committee(s), liaising with executive and non-executive directors and senior management, external stakeholders and their offices
- Scheduling meetings, arranging rooms and all other logistical planning for your committee/Board meetings
- Compiling, collating and distributing committee papers to members and maintaining and recording accurate MI
- Updating and maintaining various committee records to ensure compliance with the FCA’s

Minimum
- Previous experience of providing logistical, diary and meeting support to senior stakeholders and/or committees
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment with a strong ability to prioritise tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines
- Proven experience in a role which has required strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to cultivate and manage stakeholder relationships across all levels
Essential
- Sound attention to detail – can demonstrate taking pride in work and ensuring it is of the highest standard
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and OneNote
- Ability to ensure compliance with requirements to maintain and protect information appropriately
- An ability to respond positively to change, adopting a flexible approach to new ideas, assignments and approaches
- Proven ability to follow agreed processes, identifying improvements and escalating appropriately to ensure a cycle of continuous improvement
- An understanding of requirements to maintain security of sensitive and confidential material and experience in applying data and information security policies strictly
