Role Responsibiliti

es:
MITSUBISHI POWER EUROPE is seeking a “Graduate Application Engineer” to work on design, modification and upgrade proposal packages for gas turbine and steam turbine systems/compon

ents.
Graduate application engineer will work closely with customer support and repair engineering in developing computational models/analysis for gas turbine/steam turbine component design, performance and reliability upgrade proposals. Support the development and improvement of turbine performance assessment tools and processes to support cost-saving initia

tives.
Assess the overall performance of rotary and stationary systems by applying basic thermodynamics design principles of gas turbine/steam turbine
systemsWork with customer support, and project management teams to identify customer-specific requirement and develop enhancement proposal for the installed
fleet.Evaluate the impact of product and performance upgrade solutions over existing perfor
mances.Evaluate and maintain the competitive landscape of product and performance enhancement solutions available in the
market.Provide commercial teams with technical support for sales and services proposal acti
vities.Support configuration management activities by maintaining record of all the installed configurations, previous modifications and upgrades by following known best practices in company approved dat
abases.Support Project management, customer support and commercial teams to maintain optimum inventory of use
d partsProvide and develop technical capability to support feasibility studies for performance enhancement so
lutionsAcquire working knowledge in design and simulation activities of design/upgrade sol
utions.To write and or revise Quality Management procedures as and when re
quired.Ability to understand the voice of customer (VOC) and articulate VOC into executabl
e tasksParticipate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company
goals.Customer-focused mind-set with proven ability to respond quickly to meet the customer

needs.

n the UK.You must have a Full UK Driving License and access to a car as travel between sites may be
required.An Undergraduate or Post graduate degree (MEng, MSc or equivalent) in Thermal Power and Fluids or Mechanical Engineering or other closely relat
ed field.A strong background in the simulation and design of different types of gas turbines for aerospace, marine or industrial app
licationsKnowledge on thermodynamics and performance cal
culation.Knowledge on performance calculation of GT, GTCC and Steam turbine power
plants.,Past industrial experience with simulation of gas/Steam turbine systems is an added
advantageStrong analytical and problem-solving ability and adept at communicating with all levels of the orga
nisation.Proficient technical report writing and communicatio
n skills.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team having people with different cultures and natio
nalities.Good knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, simulation

software.
