Moorview Vets is a group of small animal veterinary practices with six branches located throughout the Northeast areas of Tyneside and Northumberland. You will be mainly based at our Backworth branch but may be required to work at our other sites. Backworth is a lovely village in the county of Tyne and Wear, England. It is about 3.5 miles west of Whitley Bay on the Northeast coast and 5 miles northeast of Newcastle upon Tyne. We are located close to local transport links and There is a church, Village Hall, a post office, Chinese take-away, a convenience store, hairdressers and barber shop, a pharmacy and grooming parlour. Newcastle International Airport is approximately 20 minutes away by car.
We have a friendly and dedicated team which includes 12 Vets, 10 Nurses, 2 SVN’s, 1 ACA, as well as excellent support and administrative teams. We have certificate holders within the team in ophthalmology, dentistry, medicine.
We are a multi-site practice, and our excellent facilities include CT on site, laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, dental x-ray, DR x-ray and so much more.

You will work 40 hours per week over a 4-day week. You will be part of our Saturday rota 1 in 4, and Bank Holiday rotas. There are no out of hours which allows a great work life balance.
You will be supported by our experienced team who are looking forward to welcoming a new graduate. You will also have an in-house GDP coach. We ensure that time is set aside to discuss cases, and there are multiple certificate holders and vets with clinical expertise in small mammals and cardiology to support you.
