This includes over 320 professional teams worldwide across a broad range of sports including Football, Rugby, Cycling, Athletics, Basketball, Netball and Swimming. Brand ambassadors include former track cyclist Sir Chris Hoy, an eleven-time world champion and six-time Olympic champion, and Eilish McColgan, who won gold in the 2022 Commonwealth Games 10,000 metres.
PhD Nutrition is a premium, active-nutrition brand for the active lifestyle community wanting intelligent nutrition to help them achieve their goals. With over 20 years of research and development, our products are designed to maximise performance in and out of the gym. It’s an exciting time for PhD Nutrition as 2025 will kick off an entirely new line up of brand ambassadors, from hybrid athletes to qualified sports nutritionists.
The two brands sell through the phd.com and scienceinsport.com digital platforms, third-party online marketplaces including Amazon, as well as extensive domestic and international retail distribution.
In 2022 the company opened a state of the art 160,000 square foot manufacturing and logistics facility in Blackburn, Lancashire. Providing a significant advantage in product costs and customer response time and most importantly, allowing Science In Sport to lead the way for quality standards.
Science In Sport is a Performance Solutions partner to globally recognised elite teams, including Tottenham Hotspur, Saracens Rugby, British Triathlon, Aquatics GB, British Cycling, England Netball and Loughborough Sports. The Role
The Graphic Designer is responsible for delivering high-quality, brand-aligned creative across all key marketing channels. They lead design projects from concept to completion, produce premium assets that reflect the quality of SiS and PhD products, and manage content delivery across Web, Social, CRM, Paid, Events, and Partnerships. With strong attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration, they ensure consistency, efficiency, and impact across global markets.

The Work - Your 4 Most Important Responsibilities
- Creating assets for use across multiple platforms (.COM, Amazon CRM, Social, Events etc.)
The Graphic Designer will be the central point of contact for delivering high-quality, always-on content across all core marketing channels, including Web, Social, CRM, Paid Media, Events, and Partnerships. This role requires a proactive and agile approach to content creation, ensuring that each channel is consistently supplied with fresh, engaging, and brand-aligned visuals. The Graphic Designer collaborates closely with channel owners and marketing leads to understand campaign calendars, audience needs, and performance goals, translating these into effective design solutions. From dynamic social posts and responsive web assets to CRM templates and event collateral, the Designer ensures that every piece of content contributes to a cohesive and compelling brand experience, while also meeting the specific demands of each platform.
- Working on various design projects from concept to completion
This includes interpreting briefs, generating original ideas, and developing design solutions that meet both brand standards and business objectives. Whether working on digital assets, campaign visuals, or event materials, the Designer takes full ownership of the creative process—conducting research, sketching concepts, refining designs, and preparing final artwork for production.
- Producing assets and artwork to a high standard that complement the premium nature of the SiS and PhD products
The Graphic Designer is responsible for producing assets and artwork to an exceptionally high standard that reflects and enhances the premium positioning of the SiS (Science in Sport) and PhD brands. This includes creating visually striking and meticulously crafted designs across packaging, digital, and campaign materials that communicate quality, innovation, and performance. Every asset must reinforce the brand’s credibility and appeal to its target audience, whether elite athletes, fitness enthusiasts, or health-conscious consumers.
- Manage asset libraries and version control across markets and channels.
The Graphic Designer is responsible for managing comprehensive asset libraries and maintaining rigorous version control across all markets and channels. This includes organising and updating design files, templates, and campaign assets to ensure easy access, consistency, and compliance with brand standards. As the business scales across regions and platforms, the Designer ensures that localised versions of creative materials are accurately adapted and stored, avoiding duplication and minimizing errors.
Accountability – What You Are Responsible For Delivering
- Collaborate with brand and marketing teams to evolve and refine brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with videographers and photographers to ensure brand guidelines, content output and channel requirements are considered to facilitate seamless execution.
- Ensure all design outputs align with the brand’s visual identity and tone of voice.
- Be the main point of contact to deliver always on content across all key marketing channels; Web, Social, CRM, Paid, Events, Partnerships.
- Create engaging assets for e-commerce platforms, including product pages, banners, and promotional content.
- Produce motion graphics, video edits, and animations for digital storytelling.
- Support influencer and community marketing with branded content templates and toolkits.
- Manage asset libraries and version control across markets and channels.
- Explore new design tools, techniques, and technologies (e.g., AI, AR, 3D).
Capability - the skills and behaviours required to do this job well
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – Mainly Photoshop, XD, Illustrator and InDesign (other software like Premiere Pro, After Effects, Figma etc. would be beneficial)
- A keen eye for details and pixel perfect design. Being able to understand and work creatively within brand guidelines to create fresh and engaging content
- Collaboration within the creative team and the wider business. Working with stakeholders to find solutions to briefs and deliver work on time and to the highest standards
- Familiarity with design techniques, understanding of visual hierarchy and layouts
- Degree or equivalent within a creative related field

- Consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing touchpoints.
- On-time delivery of assets against project timelines and campaign calendars.
