Position Overview:
We're on the lookout for a Midweight Creative Designer to join our busy packaging and point of sale team. Our team executes creative strategy, packaging design for all Dunelm products including our concession brands, point of sale and brand building. You'll be working closely with the Packaging and POS Manager and our fantastic marketing team. We're looking for someone who can take the lead and bring projects to life, from that first spark of an idea all the way through to the final, press-ready artwork. What you will be doing:
Deliver compelling creative designs: Respond to briefs across multiple channels while working collaboratively with your team and stakeholders.
Work independently: Take initiative, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of creativity and consistency, all while adhering to Dunelm's brand guidelines.
Brief artwork requirements: Communicate effectively with our company printers and suppliers to ensure all artwork meets specifications.
Collaborate with the in-house photography team: Ensure that all visual content aligns with our creative vision.
Coordinate with the web team: Maintain consistency across all media platforms.
Create and execute creative concepts: Develop innovative ideas and convert them into press-ready files for print.
Deliver diverse design projects: Produce point of sale materials, packaging, literature, and communication designs.
What we look for in you:
Compelling graphic design and typography skills: You have a keen eye for photography and expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Attention to detail and creativity: Your outstanding creative ability and meticulous attention to detail set you apart.
Strategic design thinker: You can multi-task effectively and think strategically about design.
Proficiency in Adobe CS: You are literate in all relevant Adobe Creative Suite design software.
Experience with cutter guides and artwork templates: You have proficient experience working with these tools.
Confident presentation skills: You can explain your creative thought process clearly and confidently.
Brand management experience: You have proven experience managing brands across various channels.
Excellent communication skills: Your communication skills are top-notch.
Understanding of the retail environment and current trends: You have a solid grasp of the retail landscape and stay updated on current trends.
