Ad-hoc Grid Connection Strategy & Portfolio Management Support (Remote, 1–2 Days/Week)

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide ad-hoc Grid Connection Strategy and Portfolio Management support for a scaling business with multiple BESS projects in development. This is a flexible, remote engagement, ideal for someone who thrives working independently and managing their own time.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a portfolio-level grid connection strategy across multiple projects.
Act as the primary interface with NESO, DNOs, and Transmission Owners for technical queries, compliance, and programme coordination.
Ensure projects meet all Grid Code, CUSC, and Distribution Code requirements, coordinating with engineering teams, OEMs, and EPC contractors.
Lead grid connection agreement management, including negotiation, compliance monitoring, and remedial action.
Track programme risks, dependencies, and critical milestones, ensuring impacts on cost, schedule, and financing are understood and communicated.
Support lender and investor due diligence with grid connection and compliance information.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong experience in grid connection strategy, technical assurance, and compliance.
Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience liaising with NESO, DNOs, and Transmission Owners.
Strong organisational, communication, and risk management skills.
Flexibility to commit approximately 1–2 days per week on an ad-hoc basis.
