We're looking for Utility Ground Workers to join our Multi-Utility Diversion team based in Brackley, Northamptonshire. In this role, you will support the delivery of multiple utility diversion projects while ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. This is a key role within one of the UK's most high-profile infrastructure programmes HS2. A full driving licence is essential for this position.
Location: Brackley, Northamptonshire – site-based, 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent, full-time (45 hours per week) + overtime as and when required
Hourly Rate: £12.60 – £19.50 + benefits
What will you be responsible for?
As a Ground Worker, you will work on the installation and diversion of multiple utilities, including water, gas, electricity, and communications infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Ensuring safe working practices in compliance with site Health and Safety requirements
- Excavating and backfilling trenches to specification
- Installing utility infrastructure
- Constructing chambers to required standards
What are we looking for?
This Ground Worker role is suited to individuals with experience in utility groundwork and the ability to work as part of a high-performing team.
Essential Skills And Qualifications Include
- Previous experience in the utilities sector
- Proven experience delivering at least two of the following utility types: water, gas, electric, and communications
- Valid CSCS card and NRSWA certification
