Our client is a leading investment management group looking to appoint a newly qualified accountant to support the Group Finance team.

The appointee will be responsible for a broad range of responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and provide insights to senior management.
• Drive the preparation of year-end financial statements and coordinate the audit process.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Manage banking transactions and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate reporting of intercompany transactions for UK entities, collaborating with various international offices.
• Assist in the preparation of Group VAT returns and annual tax returns to ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
• Address complex ad-hoc queries and provide comprehensive support to the wider Finance team, as needed.

The appointee will be a newly or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). You must have trained in a mid-tier accounting firm, where you've gained accounts preparation experience for smaller clients.
