The Head of News Product Management will lead the strategic direction, development, and commercial success of LSEG’s News products and services across desktop, feeds, and emerging platforms. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of News for financial professionals, ensuring our offerings remain competitive, innovative, and aligned with client needs. This role will work with senior leaders across D&A Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, and LSEG Functions to development and deliver the Product and business strategy, aligned to the D&A and Group strategy. It has ownership of end-to-end News lifecycle—from vision and roadmap to execution and performance—while managing key partnerships with major News providers such as Reuters and Dow Jones. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define and execute the News Product strategy, vision and roadmap, aligned with LSEG’s Data & Analytics and Group objectives.
Act as P&L owner for the News product portfolio, providing intellectual, managerial, and commercial leadership to the News ensuring revenue growth and cost optimisation.
Ownership of the News propositions internally and externally, influencing go-to-market strategies and client communications. Develop, syndicate and execute a Product roadmap for success, which aligns to client requirements and requires close collaboration with other LSEG business lines, and engineering and architecture teams.
Lead strategic negotiations and relationships with major News providers (Reuters, Dow Jones, and others), engaging at C-suite level to optimise content value and spend.
Drive innovation and differentiation across new and existing propositions to better address current and future client needs. Assess whether business goals are best accomplished by building, buying or entering partnerships.
Develop robust investment cases that incorporate build vs. buy vs. partner methodologies to ensure thoughtful investments and fastest time to market.
Lead end-to-end product delivery, partnering with Engineering, Design, and Operations to ensure timely execution. Job Description 4 CORPORATE

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Broad experience, with multiple strengths across the following: Industry experience 15+ years industry experience and a proven track record of in News product management or editorial leadership within financial services. Deep understanding of News workflows, financial industry use cases (across desktop, feeds, and emerging platforms), and competitive landscape. Strategic perspective on the future of News and text assets, with a deep understanding of the intersection between technology and human reporting. Strategic Thinking The ability to develop and implement long-term strategies that align with the organization's goals is crucial. This includes identifying market opportunities, setting objectives, and ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives. the ability to create an execution roadmap and drive execution of the plan. Product-led and transformational mindset Strong business acumen and the ability to align product-led strategies with financial and operational goals. Combination of strong technology and product knowledge to tackle sophisticated client problems and business opportunities amidst varying states of transitioning tech
nologies (especially AI). Understanding of key participant roles in financial services across the investment lifecycle, and where AI provides the greatest potential value. Analytical Skills Strong analytical skills are essential for conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and making data-driven decisions. The ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights is key to driving growth and innovation. The individual should possess the ability to understand and interpret fundamental workings and financial industry trends. Leadership and Team Management Effective leadership skills are necessary to lead and mentor a team of strategy professionals. This includes fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence, as well as providing guidance and support to team members. Should have should have a proven track record of attracting, developing and retaining high quality Product talent. Communication and client skills Superior client management skills, including proven ability to build and manage senior client relationships. Excellent communication skills are required to engage with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, business units, and external partners. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry experts, and other relevant parties is also important.
