Description

Capital Care Group is looking for a Group Facilities Manager to oversee facilities management, maintenance, and health & safety across nine care homes in the Midlands and North West. You will work closely with on-site maintenance staff, Home Managers, and the Senior Management Team to ensure all facilities-related matters are addressed promptly, effectively, and to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a group-wide facilities management strategy to ensure all homes remain compliant, safe, and operationally efficient.
  • Plan and oversee planned preventative maintenance programmes across all sites.
  • Ensure all properties meet statutory, regulatory, and Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements.
  • Maintain and update compliance records, including fire safety, water safety (Legionella), gas and electrical certification, and asbestos management.
  • Oversee health & safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective action plans for each home.
  • Manage maintenance teams and external contractors, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
  • Implement and manage effective systems for reporting, tracking, and resolving maintenance issues.
  • Lead emergency response planning for facilities-related incidents (e.g., power outages, flooding, heating breakdowns).
  • Ensure contingency plans are in place and up to date for all homes.
  • Act as the key point of contact between operational teams and senior management on all facilities issues.


Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in facilities management within a multi-site environment (care, healthcare, hospitality, or similar regulated sector preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance requirements, including CQC standards.
  • Experience in managing planned preventative maintenance programmes and reactive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation, including conducting risk assessments and managing audits.
  • Experience managing contractors and internal maintenance teams.


Role Details

  • £50,000–£55,000 per annum.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Regional role with regular travel to all nine care homes.
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm, with flexibility to respond to urgent facilities matters outside core hours.
  • Company vehicle provided for work-related travel.
