Group Finance Manager | London - hybrid (3 days in the office) | £70 000 - £75 000

We’re partnering with a fast-paced, high-growth e-commerce and retail group to hire a Group Finance Manager. This is a high-impact role with strong board exposure, team leadership responsibility, and ownership of group reporting, controls, and technical accounting.

You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, insightful group reporting and acting as a technical accounting lead across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivery of monthly group management accounts packs for the Board and investors, including P&L, Balance Sheet, direct & indirect cashflows, and value-added commentary
Ownership of group consolidations, including intercompany, shareholder loans, and IFRS-compliant adjustments
Managing the year-end audit process and statutory accounts
Quarterly forecasting and budgeting
Oversight of statutory and compliance reporting (VAT, IOSS, bank/lender reporting, stats, etc.)
Managing and developing a team of 2–3 qualified / part-qualified accountants or analysts

Acting as the technical accounting lead, supporting and reviewing the work of the wider finance team

Business partnering with Head Office department leads on costs, budgets, and performance

Driving process improvements, internal controls, and systems enhancements

Full ownership of monthly management accounts and supplementary reporting

Review of monthly journals, cost analysis, and P&L commentary for the Board

Balance Sheet control and reconciliations (monthly/quarterly)

Month-end close within 7 working days; balance sheet recs within 10 working days

KPI reporting (Actual vs Budget vs LY), trend analysis, and EBITDA drivers

Payroll accounting management

Monitoring cost performance, investigating variances, and challenging spend with department heads

Identifying financial risks and opportunities

Loan, interest, and intercompany accounting

Skills & Experience

ACA or ACCA qualified
Strong technical accountant with group consolidation experience
Advanced Excel skills; Power Query / Power BI highly advantageous
Experience in e-commerce and/or retail strongly preferred (even if just during audit/practice)
Comfortable working at pace in a dynamic, high-growth environment
Experience with systems implementations or process improvements advantageous
